NATtraversal
UseNAT(NetworkAddressTranslation)traversalwhenthedeviceislocatedonanprivatenetwork(LAN)andyouwantto
makeitavailablefromoutsideofthatnetwork.

EachNATtraversalprotocolcanbeusedseparatelyorindifferentcombinationsdependingonthenetworkenvironment.
•ICE:TheICE(InteractiveConnectivityEstablishment)protocolincreasesthechancesofndingthemostefcient
pathtosuccessfulcommunicationbetweenpeerdevices.IfyoualsoenableSTUNandTURN,youimprovetheICE
protocol’schances.
•STUN:STUN(SessionTraversalUtilitiesforNAT)isaclient-servernetworkprotocolthatletsthedevicedetermineif
itislocatedbehindaNATorrewall,andifsoobtainthemappedpublicIPaddressandportnumberallocatedfor
connectionstoremotehosts.EntertheSTUNserveraddress,forexample,anIPaddress.
•TURN:TURN(TraversalUsingRelaysaroundNAT)isaprotocolthatletsadevicebehindaNATrouterorrewallreceive
incomingdatafromotherhostsoverTCPorUDP.EntertheTURNserveraddressandthelogininformation.
