Function Description

The AZUNO Digital Tire Pressure Gauge & Inflator serves a dual purpose: it precisely measures the pressure in various types of tires and facilitates their inflation. The device features a digital LCD display that shows the measurement, selected unit, and battery level, ensuring clear and easy readability. An integrated LED lighting function assists in low-light conditions, making it convenient to use at any time. The tool is equipped with a flexible hose and a brass air chuck (or an AirTight-Twin-Valve for specific models) that connects to tire valves. For inflation, it connects to an air compressor via an NPT air compressor connector. A thumb trigger allows the user to add air, while an air bleeder button enables the release of air to achieve the desired pressure. The device supports multiple measurement units, offering flexibility based on user preference or regional standards. It also incorporates an auto power-off feature to conserve battery life and an auto wake-up function that activates the gauge when pressure is sensed, streamlining the user experience.

Usage Features

Operating the AZUNO Digital Tire Pressure Gauge & Inflator is straightforward, designed for efficiency and accuracy. To begin, the gauge can be activated by pressing any button, or it will automatically wake up when it senses pressure from a tire or compressor. If the LCD does not light up, users should check the pre-installed batteries located on the back of the device. The LED lighting can be toggled on or off by holding the left button for 3 seconds in each case, providing illumination when working in dimly lit environments. The unit switch button allows users to cycle through the available measurement units (Psi, Bar, Kgf/cm2, Kpa) to match their preferred display.

Before connecting the gauge, users must select the appropriate air fitting (M-Type or Q-Type) that matches their air compressor. M-Type fittings are commonly known as "US Standard Fitting" and are prevalent in the US, while Q-Type fittings are referred to as "Japanese Standard Fitting." It is crucial to properly seal the air fitting with thread seal tape before installation, unless connecting directly to a 1/4 NPT compressor hose. A caution is issued against over-tightening the air fitting to prevent product damage.

Once the air fitting is secured, the gauge can be connected to the air compressor. The brass air chuck is then clamped onto the tire valve. To inflate the tire, the thumb trigger is pressed. If the pressure needs to be reduced, the air bleeder button is used. It is important to note that accurate pressure measurements should only be taken when both the thumb trigger and air bleeder are in their default, unpressed positions, as readings taken during inflation or deflation may not be precise.

For the ATG200A01 model, which includes an "AirTight-Twin-Valve," users can switch from the pre-installed brass air chuck if they need to inflate Presta or Schrader valve bike tires. To use the Twin Valve, it should be pushed all the way onto the Presta or Schrader valve on the tire. A lever on the Twin Valve is then moved to the left end for Presta valves or the right end for Schrader valves to secure the connection. A critical caution advises ensuring the Schrader/Presta valve is pushed all the way through to prevent leaks. Additionally, it is vital to properly lock the valve to avoid the hose detaching during inflation, which could lead to a potentially dangerous situation.

The gauge is designed with an energy-saving feature, automatically turning off after 150 seconds of sensing no pressure from either end. Users can also manually turn off the device by pressing the designated button.

Maintenance Features

Proper maintenance of the AZUNO Digital Tire Pressure Gauge & Inflator ensures its longevity and continued accurate performance. Regular cleaning is essential. Users should frequently blow dirt and dust out of the main housing using dry air, especially when visible accumulation is observed in and around the device. A crucial warning emphasizes that solvents or other harsh chemicals should never be used for cleaning the non-metallic parts of the tool. When the AZUNO product reaches the end of its useful life and requires replacement, or if it is no longer needed, it should be made available for separate collection.
