Do you have a question about the Baby Brezza superfast BRZ0083 and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

The Baby Brezza Superfast Sterilizer-Dryer (Model: BRZ0083) is an electrical appliance designed for household use to sterilize and dry baby bottles, pump parts, and other accessories. It operates on a supply voltage of 120V ~ 60Hz and has a power rating of 1500W.

Function Description:

The device offers three primary functions:

  1. Automatic Sterilize & Dry: This mode sterilizes items using steam and then dries them. The sterilization cycle runs for approximately 5 minutes and 30 seconds (red LED), followed by a drying cycle of approximately 4 minutes and 30 seconds (blue LED). After drying, the appliance turns off and enters standby mode.
  2. Sterilize Only: This mode performs only the sterilization process using steam. The sterilization cycle runs for approximately 5 minutes and 30 seconds (red LED), after which the appliance turns off and enters standby mode.
  3. Dry Only: This mode performs only the drying process. The drying cycle runs for approximately 6 minutes (blue LED), after which the appliance turns off and enters standby mode.

Before use, all bottles, pump parts, and accessories must be empty, clean, and thoroughly rinsed. The appliance should always be used on a flat surface, out of reach of children. For sterilization, 120ml (4oz) of water must be poured onto the base/heater surface. Distilled water is recommended to avoid mineral scale build-up, though bottled or tap water can be used, potentially requiring more frequent descaling. The device has a maximum capacity of 6 bottles and accessories.

Important Safeguards:

  • Never expose the sterilizer dryer to heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight.
  • To prevent electrical shock, never immerse the power base in water or other liquids.
  • Clean the sterilizer dryer with a dry cloth.
  • The appliance is not intended for use by children and should be kept out of their reach.
  • It can be used by individuals with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience if supervised or instructed on safe use and understanding of hazards.
  • Children should not play with the appliance, and cleaning/maintenance should not be done by children without supervision.
  • If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or an authorized service agent.
  • Never use detergents or corrosive substances for cleaning.
  • Always ensure there is water in the machine before operation; if it boils dry, a warning signal will sound, and a complete sterilizing cycle with 120ml (4oz) water must be run again.
  • Unplug the device when not in use, before cleaning or changing accessories.
  • Do not operate with a damaged cord, plug, or if the appliance malfunctions or is damaged.
  • Never unplug the product during a sterilizing cycle, as it will reset the cycle. If accidentally unplugged, restart the cycle completely.
  • Only use attachments recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • Operating and storage temperature: 50°F ~ 95°F (10°C ~ 35°C).
  • Do not let the cord hang over edges or contact hot surfaces.
  • Ensure nothing is on the heating element surface before starting.
  • During use, boiling water and hot steam escape from the vent; never touch the lid or stand over the appliance.
  • Exercise caution when opening the lid, as steam and contents can be hot.
  • Never touch the stainless-steel heating element when the appliance is on, during, or just after use.
  • Never place items on top of the sterilizer dryer.
  • To stop a cycle, press the button and then unplug the power outlet.
  • Never tilt the appliance backward or run it without the filter tray.
  • Avoid spilling water near power outlets.
  • The heating element surface retains residual heat; allow the unit to cool before handling and between uses. Do not use more than twice in one hour.
  • Wash hands before touching sterilized parts.

Usage Features:

  • Set-up: Wash the Lid, Bottle Tray, Accessory Tray, and Measuring Cup before first use.
  • Standby Mode: When plugged in, all LEDs flash for 0.5 seconds, then the unit enters standby.
  • Operation: Place the appliance on a flat surface. Remove the lid and bottle tray. Fill the measuring cup to the max line (120ml/4oz) and pour water onto the heating surface. Place the bottle tray on the base, then place clean bottles with openings facing downward over the nozzles (max 6 bottles). Place accessories on the accessory tray. Securely place the lid on the base.
  • Mode Selection: Press the button repeatedly to select the desired mode (Sterilize & Dry, Sterilize Only, Dry Only). The selected function starts automatically after 3 seconds.
  • Stopping a Cycle: If the button is pressed at any point during a cycle, the appliance stops and enters standby mode.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning:
    • Always unplug before cleaning.
    • Do not immerse the base, power cord, or plug in water.
    • Do not clean the base under a water tap.
    • Use a soft damp cloth to clean the base and control console.
    • Never use abrasive pads on plastic parts.
    • The Lid, Bottle Tray, and Accessory Tray can be cleaned in hot soapy water.
    • After each use, pour away any remaining water from the base, always away from the fan opening.
  • Descaling:
    • Mineral residue may accumulate on the heating plate, especially in hard water areas.
    • To prevent scale build-up, wipe surfaces with a soft moist cloth after each operation.
    • For descaling, use Baby Brezza Descaler or leave a 50/50 solution of 60ml (2oz) water and vinegar on the heating plate for approximately 30 minutes. Then wipe clean with a dry cloth. Some discoloration spots may remain but are harmless.
    • Descaling every 3 weeks is recommended for efficient operation.
    • Do not use abrasives or solvents for cleaning.
    • Ensure the base unit is completely dry before plugging it in again.
    • The filter can be removed and rinsed clean with water once a week. Ensure it is completely dry before replacing.

Troubleshooting:

A troubleshooting chart is provided for common issues such as the appliance not starting, stopping during a sterilize cycle ("No Water Indicator"), scaling on the heater plate, items not drying, and continuous LED flashing. Solutions include ensuring the plug is secure, adding sufficient water (120ml/4oz), cleaning the heater plate, using distilled water, ensuring items are placed correctly to avoid water collection, limiting items to 6 bottles and accessories, and allowing the unit to cool before restarting. For unresolved issues, customer service can be contacted at 1-888-396-6552 or cs@babybrezza.com.

Warranty:

The product comes with a Limited 1-Year Warranty, valid only for products purchased through authorized resellers and used in the United States and Canada.
