CHAPTER 10 ELECTRIC ACCESSORIES AND INSTRUMENTS 1025H TRACTOR
4. METERS AND SWITCHES
4.1 METERS
4.1.1 REMOVAL
4.1.2 TACHO/HOUR METER
1. Disconnect the negative cable from battery.
2. Remove the dash cover, upper (no. 2).
3. Remove the bolts which hold the meter panel and
lift up the panel assembly by removing the wire
harness couplings.
1. CONSTRUCTION
An electric tachometer is employed along with a
tachosensor. The tach/hour meter converts engine
revolutions to electric signals, which is sent to the
tachometer. The tachometer displays the engine
revolutions visually. The tachosensor generates 10
pulses per one engine revolution.
The generated pulses are converted into voltage
output through a converter. Then the voltage is divided
into three different phase coils through a IC circuit.
The tachometer pointer is swung by the compound
magnetic eld generated by the three point.
2. INSPECTION
▶
The allowable error of a tachometer reading is
specied as shown on the table below.
If the reading deviates from the specied value.
Replace the meter assembly.
