Checking Coolant Level and Adding
Coolant
A normal coolant level is vitally important for
the engine cooling system to work normally.
Before opening the engine hood, be sure to park
the vehicle on a flat road. Also be sure to
carefully read and follow the relevant warning
instructions

antifreeze
Checking Coolant Level
When the engine is in a cold state is the best
time to check whether the coolant level is within
the marked range on the side of the expansion
tank.
“MAX” for upper limit of coolant.
“MIN” for lower limit of coolant.
The coolant level should be between the
upper limit mark and the lower limit mark.
If the level is below the “LOW” mark, then
coolant must be added.
Opening Coolant Expansion Tank
Cover
The engine must not be running.
To avoid scalding, wrap the coolant recovery
reservoir cover with a piece of large and thick
cloth, nd uncover it counterclockwise as
indicated by the Arrow
Tips
The coolant expansion tank cover should be
opened when the engine is in a cold state
