4.2 Function
The IO-Link hubs have eight input ports with a total of 16
inputs. The connection to the higher-level master module is
made via the IO-Link protocol.
In terms of function, the hub module is comparable to a
passive distribution box: Pick up digital signals and forward
them via the IO-Link interface.
