The IO-Link device supports the functions listed in this
chapter.
8.1 IO-Link Version 1.0 / 1.1
This device can be operated with an IO-Link master after
IO-Link Version 1.0 and Version1.1.
Version-specific functions (such as Date retention only in
Version 1.1) are only supported in connection with a
suitable IO-Link master.
8.2 Date retention
Each IO-Link master of IO-Link Version1.1 has a data
memory, on which an image of the IO-Link device
configuration can be filed. In the event of a device
exchange, the stored configuration is automatically
transferred to the new device, thus guaranteeing minimum
downtimes.
In order to use the data storage, the validation must be
switched on. Information about the configuration of the
data storage and validation can be found in the user’s
guide of the respective IO-Link master.
8.3 Block Parameterization
The device supports the block parameterization, with
which all parameters in a data block can be consistently
imported from a control or configuration tool to the device.
8.4 Resetting to factory settings
The device can be reset to factory settings by performing
the system command Restore Factory Settings.
