Barton FR 50 ccm - Gear Shifting and Speed

When you want to overtake another vehicle you can shift to a higher gear and
accelerate. The table shows the range of speeds you can achieve in each gear.
Speed at which gear may be reduced
4th gear to 3rd gear
less than 35 km/h
3th gear to 2nd gear
less than 25 km/h
2th gear to 1st gear
less than 15 km/h
Caution:
● do not brake or swerve sharply.
● be careful especially in the rain
● when travelling down hill, the accelerator handle should be brought to the
initial position; a low speed should be maintained and the brakes should be
applied with a pulse
