Excessive frost and ice has built up in the freezer.
o Make sure that the door is not left open for prolonged periods of
time.
o Check there is nothing preventing the door from closing correctly
and that the door gasket is clean and intact.
o It is normal for frost to build up over a period of time and when
this happens you should follow the “Defrosting the freezer”
instructions on page 16.
The freezer door will not open.
o If the door has recently been opened and closed, you must wait
for a few minutes before attempting to open the door again to
allow the air pressure to equalise.
The compressor runs continuously.

o Make sure that the thermostat is set to the midway position. If
the appliance is set to the <MAX> setting, the compressor will
work harder to maintain a lower temperature inside the freezer.
o Check that the freezer door is closed correctly and that the door
gasket is intact.
o If large quantities of food have recently been placed in the
freezer or the door is frequently opened, the compressor will
work harder to maintain the low temperature.
o Ensure that the appliance has been correctly positioned by
referring to the “Positioning” section on pages 20-21 and that air
ventilation is not obstructed.
