8.2.2 Testing of the Digital IO module
Once the plug-in module has been recognized properly, then it can be checked whether
the input and outputs are working correctly using ProDrive.
Pre-conditions Basic unit b maXX 4000 has been commissioned,
BM4-F-DIO/FIO-XX has been plugged in or DIO/FIO-XX is available (ES controller).
Digital connections are available/connected and ready for use (pin assignment see
ZConnection diagrams– on page 39)
Voltage +24 V
DC
(switchable) available on input 2.
h ProDrive navigation „Diagnosis“, submenu „Service“.
h In menu „Service“ is displayed wether the Digital IO module was recognized properly.
e.g. in line for slot D.
Testing the inputs 1 ProDrive navigation „IO digital inputs“.
2 Select in ProDrive „Digital input link 2“.

3 In this window, select the input point by the side of the selection „Input D.2“, when the
plug-in module is plugged in the slot D
4 Observe the replica of the LED and the text lying by its side „Input D.2 is low“.
5 In the window „Digital input link 2“, click on “...“ symbol by the side of „target parameter
number“.
A new window „IOs target parameter DI“.
6 From the list for selection of parameters, select „1000 = stipulated operating mode and
confirm with Ok.
The window gets closed again and the field under „target parameter number“ in the win-
dow „Digital input link 2 „ contains now the value „1000“.
7 In the window „Digital input link 2“, you click the “...“ symbol by „bit selection“, in the
window which appears now you enter with the value „&hFFFF“ and Ok.
The window closes again and the field under „bit selection“ in the window „Digital input
link 2“ now contains the value „FFFF“.
