Preventive mea-
sures
m Always be prepared for accidents or fire!
m Keep first-aid equipment (e.g. first-aid kits, blankets, etc.) and fire extinguishers handy.
m Acquaint personnel with accident alarm, first aid and rescue equipment
And if something
does happen:
respond properly
m Stop operation of the device immediately with an EMERGENCY Stop.
m Initiate first aid measures.
m Evacuate persons from the danger zone
m Notify the responsible persons at the scene of operations.
m Alarm medical personnel and/or the fire department.
m Keep access routes clear for rescue vehicles.

Electricity when using a conductive fire fighting appliance.
Therefore:
m Use the following fire fighting device:

Safety equipment provides for the highest level of safety in a facility. Even if safety
equipment makes work processes more awkward, under no circumstances may they
be circumvented. Safety can only be ensured by intact safety equipment.
Therefore:
m Before starting to work, check whether the safety equipment in good working order
and properly installed.
