2. Tilt the steam generator and pour 500 mL of distilled water into
the opening. Reinsert the EASY DE-CALC knob and turn the knob
clockwise to fasten it.
3. Press the on/o button and wait for 5 minutes.
4. Put a piece of thick cloth on your ironing board. Place your iron on
the cloth, and then press and hold the steam trigger. While pressing
the steam trigger, slowly move the iron back and forth across the cloth
until no water comes out anymore or when steam comes out.
Hot, dirty water is coming out of the soleplate.
5. Switch o the steam generator and let it cool down for 2 hours.
6. Remove the EASY DE-CALC knob and let the water flow into a cup.
Reinsert the EASY DE-CALC knob and turn the knob clockwise to
fasten it.
7. Repeat steps 2 to 6 of this cleaning procedure.
Storage
1. Switch o the steam generator and unplug it from the mains.
2. Remove the water tank and empty it.
3. Place the iron on the iron platform. Specific types only: push the
carry lock to lock the iron onto the platform.
