Some warnings
In case of a fault and/or malfunction, turn off and do not tamper with
the scale. For any repairs, contact only a centre authorized by the
manufacturer and request the use of original spare parts. Failure to
comply with the above may compromise security and invalidate the
warranty.
This scale is for domestic use only, not for use in hospital diagnosis.
The use of the scale is not indicated for people with implanted medi-
cal equipment, such as pacemakers.
Do not leave the scale exposed to atmospheric agents (rain, sun,
etc.).
Do not use the scale too much close to radio or TV to avoid electro-
magnetic interference.
Do not immerse the scale in water.
Do not place the scale too much close to heat sources.
Do not place the scale in very humid places.
Do not place the scale on a wet surface.
Only place the scale on a at and stable surface, do not place it on a
carpet as it would not be stable.
Do not leave the scale upright.
Do not place objects on the scale.
Do not drop the scale or subject it to severe shocks.
Do not expose the scale to excessive weights.
Do not jump on the scale.
Do not allow liquids to enter the inside of the scale or spray water or
cleaning detergents directly on the scale.
Before using the scale, remove the transparent lm in the battery
compartment, if present.
Use only the type of batteries specied in the instruction manual.
Important: when measuring body mass and water, make sure you are barefoot, clean and completely
in contact with the plant on the surface of the scale to avoid percentage errors in body mass.
Caution
Discharged batteries become dangerous for the possible loss of electrolyte uid that is very corro-
sive. To avoid damage to the appliance caused by this possibility, replace the exhausted batteries
without delay. Remember to remove the batteries when you are not going to use the balance for a
long time.
Damages caused by battery liquid are not recognized.
Battery replacement
When the scale does not turn on or displays “Lo” it means that the batteries are exhausted. Replace them with
new ones.
Carefully, turn the balance upside down, so that the bottom of the scale is accessi ble.
Press the battery compartment in the direction indicated by the arrow and open the cover by tapping it.
