Why is my Black & Decker AIRSWIVEL BDASV101 Vacuum Cleaner not picking up dirt?

There are several reasons why your Black & Decker vacuum cleaner might not be picking up dirt: 1. The dust cup may be full, so you should empty it. 2. The filter could be dirty; check it, remove any debris, and clean it. 3. The hose might not be secure. Ensure it's properly snapped into place at both ends. 4. The dust cup may not be correctly in place. Make sure it is fully inserted and that the dust cup release handle is completely pushed in. 5. The vacuum path could be clogged. Visually inspect the air passageway, hose inlet, and hose for any obstructions and carefully remove them.
