- Lock-on Button: For continuous operation, the lock-on button (2) can be pressed to maintain full speed without constant pressure on the trigger. This feature is only available at full speed when rotating forward.
- Forward/Reverse Switch: The forward/reverse switch (3) allows for easy selection of rotation direction. Pushing the switch to the left selects forward rotation for drilling and screwdriving, while pushing it to the right selects reverse rotation for loosening screws or freeing jammed drill bits. It is crucial not to change the rotation direction while the motor is still running.
- Keyed Chuck: The drill features a keyed chuck (4) for securely holding drill bits. To open the chuck, rotate the sleeve counter-clockwise. Insert the bit shank (6) into the chuck, then insert the chuck key (7) into each hole (8) on the side of the chuck and turn clockwise until tight.
- Chuck Removal and Refitting: To remove the chuck, open the chuck jaws as far as possible. Rotate the chuck retaining screw counter-clockwise, located in the chuck, using a screwdriver. Insert an Allen key into the chuck and strike it with a hammer as shown in the manual. Remove the Allen key. Rotate the chuck counter-clockwise to remove it. To refit the chuck, screw it onto the spindle and secure it with the chuck retaining screw.
- Mode Selector: The tool offers a mode selector (5) to switch between drilling modes. For concrete applications, the mode selector should be set to the hammer drill symbol (F). For steel and wood applications, it should be set to the drill symbol (E).
