CHAPTER 2: OVERVIEW
2.1 INTRODUCTION
The KV6202A-R2 or KV6204A-R2 is a 2- or 4-port DisplayPort USB KVM switch with audio and microphone switching functions. It
features the latest True Transparent USB Emulation Technology for advanced types of keyboards and mice. The technology supports
active real-time EDID Emulation, in other words, as long as the attached display is connected during operation, all computers will be
able to use the monitor profile properly whether the KVM port is selected or not. The KV6202A-R2 or KV6204A-R2 can help you control,
boot and reboot two or four computers using only one set of keyboard, mouse, monitor display and a set of microphone and speakers/
headphones.
The audio and mic switching function offers you uninterrupted multimedia experience while performing KVM switching. Multi-platform
support for PC and Mac is available. The switches also have two additional USB ports on the back panel for USB device sharing. The KVM
switch supports five key alternatives for free configuration for users who might need to use a hotkey preceding sequence other than two
scroll locks.
