Operating requirements
The windows can be operated under the
following conditions.
Standby state is switched on.
Drive-ready state is switched on.
For a short while after rest state has been
established.
The vehicle key or a digital key must be inside
of the vehicle.
Opening windows
Press the switch as far as the resist-
ance point.
The window opens for as long as
the switch is held.
Press the switch past the resistance
point.
The window is opened automati-
cally. Pressing the switch again stops the
movement.
Close windows
Pull the switch as far as the resist-
ance point.
The window closes for as long as
the switch is held.
Pull the switch past the resistance
point.
The window closes automatically.
Pulling the switch again stops the move-
ment.
Anti-trap mechanism
Principle
The anti-trap mechanism prevents objects or
parts of the body from becoming trapped be-
tween the door frame and window while a win-
dow is being closed.
General
If resistance or an obstruction is detected while
a window is being closed, the closing process
is interrupted.
Safety information
WARNING
Accessories on the windows, for example
aerials, can impair the anti-trap mechanism.
There is a danger of injury. Do not attach
any accessories within the movement range
of the windows.
Closing with no anti-trap mechanism
If an external hazard or ice prevents normal
closure, proceed as follows:
1.
Pull the switch past the resistance
point and hold it in this position.
The window is closed but with restricted
anti-trap mechanism. If the closing force
exceeds a certain level, the closing opera-
tion is interrupted.
2. Pull the switch past the resistance
point again within approximately 4 seconds
and hold it in this position.
The window is closed with no anti-trap
mechanism.
