A manual operation of the tailgate can produce
system states in which an electric operation is no
longer possible.
For instance, this type of system state applies
when there is a danger of collision between the
upper and lower tailgate. In this case, an acoustic
signal will sound and the upper tailgate must be
completely opened manually.
Operate the tailgate manually in exceptional
cases only such as in the event of a malfunction.
