Instructions for use
We recommend using citric acid as follows:
1.5 litres/51l.oz Kettle: Boil 1.0 litres/34l.oz of water, then
unplug the kettle and stand it in an empty sink or bowl. Add
50gm of citric acid crystals gradually, then leave the kettle to
stand.
1.0 litres/34l.oz Kettle: Boil 1.0 litres/34l.oz of water, then
unplug the kettle and stand it in an empty sink or bowl. Add
50gm of citric acid crystals gradually, then leave the kettle to
stand.
0.5 litres/17l.oz Kettle: Boil 0.5 litres/17l.oz of water, then
unplug the kettle and stand it in an empty sink or bowl. Add
25gm of citric acid crystals gradually, then leave the kettle to
stand.
As soon as the eervescence subsides, empty the kettle and
rinse it thoroughly with cold water. Wipe the outside of the
kettle thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove all traces of
citric acid which may damage the inish.
Do not use a more concentrated solution. Ensure that the
electrical connections are completely dry before using the
kettle. Citric acid crystals are available at most chemists.
Failure to de-scale may invalidate the guarantee.
Never use chemicals, steel wool or abrasive agents to clean
the exterior of the kettle.
Only clean the appliance using a damp cloth.
Never immerse the item in water: remember this is an electri-
cal applicant.
STORAGE
Excessive cord length can be stored on the cord retainer (5)
in the base unit (4).
Note: Ensure that the mains power supply is switched o
when you are not using the kettle.
Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized
service representative.
