Diagnostics and Testing
1. Perform recovery function.
2. Turn unit o when Oil Draining is displayed.
3. Refrigerant will be present in the vapor
hose, liquid hose, and accumulator.
To evacuate the tank:
1. Connect an external recovery unit to the
lateral contamination port (for ACS 663-RI
only) or by quick coupler adapter connection.
2. Open service menu and go into
. Refer to Output test in the
Diagnostics and Testing section.
3. Enable:
• Tank liquid solenoid S22,
• Low-Side Charge Solenoid S7 and/or,
• High-Side Charge Solenoid S6.
1. Disconnect the high- and low-side service
hoses from vehicle or service tank, whichever
is applicable. Make sure the coupler valves
are closed.
2. Connect an auxiliary recovery unit to the
lateral contamination port (for ACS 663-RI
only) or by quick coupler adapter connection.
3. Start the separate recovery unit and allow
it to pull the unit into a 0.4 bar (33 cm-Hg)
vacuum.
4. When the unit is pulled down to this level,
turn off the auxiliary recovery unit and
disconnect from the lateral contamination
port (for ACS 663-RI only) or by quick
coupler adapter connection.
5. Carefully disconnect or remove components
as there may be refrigerant present.
