contact with your eyes, seek additional med-
ical attention. Liquid ejected from the battery
may cause irritation or burns.
u If the battery is damaged liquid can be ejec-
ted and cover nearby surfaces. Check af-
fected parts. Clean these parts or change them
if necessary.
u Do not short-circuit the battery pack. When
the battery pack is not in use, keep it away
from other metal objects, like paper clips,
coins, keys, nails, screws or other small
metal objects, that can make a connection
from one terminal to another. Shorting the
battery terminals together may cause burns or a
fire.
u The battery can be damaged by pointed ob-
jects such as nails or screwdrivers or by
force applied externally. An internal short cir-
cuit may occur, causing the battery to burn,
smoke, explode or overheat.
u Never service damaged battery packs. Ser-
vice of battery packs should only be performed
by the manufacturer or authorized service pro-
viders.
