12 FAULT FINDING AND DIAGNOSTICS
12.1 Status codes and faults
The controller monitors all safety, regulation and control components.
Each operating state of the device is supported by a unique status code,
each fault by a fault code.
Detailed troubleshooting is possible using the following tables.
The operation and fault displays are shown as follows:
Status codes, these show operating states during normal operation
Status codes can be read during operation using the info menu
(service function i01)
Blocking faults cause a temporary shutdown of the appliance. The
appliance restarts as soon as the blocking fault has been removed or
rectified.
Display of blocking faults are with error code and status code
appears on the screen.
Locking faults are system errors which cause the appliance to
shutdown. The appliance will only restart after a manual intervention
or a reset.
Locking errors are with error codes and status code flash on the
display.

STATUS CODES
During normal boiler operation various Status codes can be displayed by
pressing the button.
The first screen of the Information menu displays the current Status
code, this will change as the boiler runs through the various modes and
sequences.
These are not always faults, but just provide information concerning the
current status of the boiler.
DANGER: Explosion!
Turn the gas supply off before working on gas related
components.
After replacing gas components, seals and gaskets
check for gas tightness using a gas sniffer/analyser.
DANGER: Poisoning!
Check for gas tightness using a gas sniffer/analyser
on gas and flue components.
DANGER: Electric shock!
Before working on the electrical components
disconnect the electrical mains (230 V ac) and
secure against unintentional re-connection.
