9 Troubleshooting, fault clearance and repair
9.1 Troubleshooting and fault
clearance
The components of the drive system are
constantly checked automatically. If an error is
detected, an error message appears on the on-
board computer. The drive may be shut off
automatically, depending on the type of error.
9.1.1 Drive system or on-board computer
does not start up
If the on-board computer and/or the drive system do
not start up, proceed as follows:
1 Check whether the battery is switched on. If
not, start the battery.
Contact specialist dealer if the LEDs on the
battery level indicator do not light up.
2 If the LEDs on the battery level indicator light
up, but the drive system does not start up,
remove the battery.
3 Insert the battery.
4 Start the drive system.
5 If the drive system does not start up, remove
the battery.
6 Clean all the contacts with a soft cloth.
7 Insert the battery.
8 Start the drive system.
9 If the drive system does not start up, remove
the battery.
10 Fully charge the battery.
11 Insert the battery.
12 Start the drive system.
13 If the drive system does not start up, remove
the on-board computer.
14 Fasten on-board computer.
15 Start the drive system.
16 Contact your specialist dealer if the drive
system does not start up.
9.1.2 Error message
If an error message is displayed, run through the
following actions:
1 Make a note of the system message. There is
a table containing all system messages in
Section 6.3.1
.
2 Shut off and re-start the drive system.
3 If the system message is still displayed,
remove the battery and then re-insert.
4 Re-start the drive system.
5 If the system message is still displayed,
contact your specialist dealer.
