3.2.3 Connection diagrams with system examples
The hydraulic diagrams are only schematic illustrations and
provide a non-binding indication of a possible hydraulic circuit.
Install safety equipment in accordance with applicable
standards and local regulations.
For further information and options, refer to the technical
guides or the manufacturer's Technical Helpline.
Key to Fig. 16 to 22:
Earth lead
Temperature/temperature sensor
L Phase (mains voltage)
N Neutral conductor
Terminal designations:
230 V AC Mains voltage connection
BUS EMS plus BUS system connection
MC1 Temperature switch (monitor circuit)
MD1 Volt free contact (monitor dew point):
for cooling (cooling function): dew point reached/
not reached
for constant heating circuit: external signal for heat
requirement – heating pump on/off ( additional
accessories)
OC1 Function not used
PC1 Pump connection (pump circuit)
T0 Temperature sensor connection to low loss header
(temperature sensor)
TC1 Connection for heating circuit flow temperature
sensor or cylinder temperature sensor
(temperature sensor circuit)
VC1 Mixing valve actuator connection (valve circuit):
Terminal 43: mixer open (for warmer heating; for
cooler cooling (cooling function))
Terminal 44: mixer closed (for cooler heating; for
warmer cooling (cooling function))
-or-
DHW circulation pump connection in DHW circuit
(code switch on 9 or 10):
Terminal 43: DHW circulation pump phase
Terminal 44: not assigned
System components:

PC1 Heating pump in assigned heating circuit
-or-
Cylinder primary pump in assigned cylinder primary
circuit, e.g. after low loss header (code switch on 9
or 10)
T0 Flow temperature sensor on the low loss header
(not possible with all user interfaces)
TC1 Flow temperature sensor in the assigned heating
circuit or cylinder temperature sensor in the
assigned cylinder primary circuit
VC1 Mixing valve actuator in the assigned heating circuit
with mixer
