14 Troubleshooting
A control unit to which the sensor is connected can often detect errors by
means of the sensor signal. What type of errors are detected depends on the
hardware of the control unit used and the software running on the controller.
The indication or display of an error, e.g.via adisplay or adiagnostic tool,
depends on the machine concept. If necessary, observe the instruction manual
of the control unit manufacturer.
14.1 Malfunction table for DSA/12 and DSA/20
The Table 8 is intended to support troubleshooting. This table is not exhaustive.
Issues may occur in practice that are not listed here.

-
Sensor supply voltage is missing.
- Sensor supply voltage is too low.
Measure the supply voltage at the contacts of the
sensor and make sure that all contacts in the mating
connector are correctly fitted and latched.
