Table 8: Malfunction table
Malfunction Possible cause Remedy
Neutral circulation
pressure is too high
No load-sensing unloading
(appliestoM4,M6, M7, SP, SX only)
Control spool not in neutral position With tongue: Check the projection,
see"Technicaldatasheet".
Pressure in the control covers is too high
(checkactuation).
Return flow pressure is too high Disconnect the return flow from the common return
line; use a separate return line or increase the size of
the line cross section.
Inlet pressure compensator is jammed Renew the inlet plate.
Movement on consumer
despite neutral position
Control spool is not in neutral position Pressure in the control covers is too high
(checkactuation).
Secondary pressure relief valve leaking or
set too low
Check the setting pressure on the secondary pressure
relief valve.
The control spool leakage is too great Refer to the datasheet for the leakage values
Install a leak-free lowering brake valve.
No detent function Restoring force in the direction of actuation
is too great compared to the detent force
(spring)
Remove the detent and clean it.
Detent unit is worn Renew the detent unit.
Detent release force is
toohigh
Control spool is jammed See "Not possible to deflect control spool"
under "Control spool is jammed" at the top of this
table.
Detent unit is damaged Renew the detent unit.
Detent force is too high Clean the detent unit and grease it. If this is not
successful, renew the detent unit.
In case ofmalfunctions caused by contamination, it isessential tocheck and
possibly improve the quality ofthe hydraulic fluid through appropriate measures,
such aspurging, exchange oradditional installation offilters inaddition tocarrying
out repairs.
