Installation
– Scope of delivery: dryer, installation and operating instructions.
– Check dryer for transport damag e.
– The dryer is very heavy. Do not at tempt to lift it on your own.
– Be careful to avoid sharp edge s.
– Do not set up in a room that is susceptible to frost. Freezing water may cau se damage.
– If in doubt, have the appliance connected by a specialist.
– Do not lift the dryer by protruding p arts (e.g. the door) - risk of breakage.
Setting up the d ryer
– The appliance plug must alwa ys be accessible.
– Ensure that the appliance is installed on a clean, level
and firm surface.
– Do not obstruct the air inlet on the front of the
dryer.
– Keep the area around the dryer clean.
– Make the dryer level using the th readed feet
and a spirit level.
– Do not remove the threaded fee t under any
circumstances.
Mains connect ion see Safety instructions a page 13.
– Connect to an AC earthed socket. If in doubt have the socket checked by a s pecialist.
– The mains voltage and the volta ge shown on the rating plate (apage 10) must be the
same.
– The connected load and nece ssary fuse protection are specified on the rating plate.
Frost protection
Preparation
1. Empty the condensation containe r apage 4.
2. Select any programme using the progra mme selector.
3. Press the Ĕ Start/Stop button a condensed water is pumped into the container
4. Wait 5 minutes and then empty the condensation container again.
5. Turn the programme selector to Off.
Transport
– Prepare the dryer a see Frost protection.
– Transport the dryer in a vertical up right position.
– Following transportation, do not us e the dryer for two hours.
The dryer contains residual water;
this can flow out if the dryer is tilted.
Take all accessory parts out
of the drum.
The drum must be empty.
Make sure that the air inlet
remains unobstructed
Clean and level
Do not set up the dryer behind a door or sliding
door, as this may obstruct the dryer door or prevent
it from opening. This will prevent a potentially fat al
danger to children from locking themselves in.
Do not operate the dryer if
there is a danger of frost.

Care and cleaning
Heat exchanger
The dryer's heat exchanger is cleaned automa tically during drying. Cln appears in the display
panel. Do not pull out the condens ation container during the cleaning proces s.
Dryer housing , control panel, a ir intake
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth.
Do not use harsh cleaning agents or solve nts.
Remove detergent and cleaning agent residue immediately.
Some water may collect between th e window and the seal during drying. Thi s does not affect
the proper operation of your dryer in any way.
Filter in the conde nsation contai ner
The filter is cleaned automatically wh en the condensation container is emptied.
However, the filter should still be cleaned regularly under running water a This prevents
stubborn deposits/dirt from building up.
1. Pull out the condensation container.
2. Pull the filter out of its snap-in lock.
3. Clean the filter under running water or in the dishwasher.
4. Refit the filter.
5. Insert the condensation container so that it locks into place.
Only operate the dryer with the filter inserted.
Moisture senso r
The dryer is equipped with stainless steel moisture sensors. Moisture sensors measure how
damp the laundry is. A thin layer of limescale ma y build up on the moistu re sensors after
prolonged use.
1. Open the door.
2. Clean the moisture sensors using a damp sponge with a rough surface.
Do not use steel wool or abrasive mater ials.
Appliance must be switched off.

Washer-dryer stack con nection set
The dryer can be placed on top of a suitable washing machine with the same width and depth
to save space. The dryer must be fastened to the washing machine using this connection set.
Same as WTZ 11310, but with pull-out wor ktop.
Installation unde rneath the worktop
Instead of the appliance covering plate, y ou must have a metal cover fitted by a spec ialist.

Normal noises
During drying, the compressor and th e pump generate some noise which is entirely n ormal.
The compressor in the dryer may
occasionally generate a humming noise.
The compressor in the dryer is ventilated
from time to time, which creates a whirring
sound.
The automatic cleaning process causes
a clicking noise.
The process of pumping the condensation
into the condensation container generates
pumping noises.

Operation

– Dust (e.g. co al dust, flour) poses a danger: Do not use the dryer

– Do not put laund ry containing foamed m aterial/rubber in the dryer a elastic
material may be destro yed and the dryer be dam aged due to possible
deformation of the foam ed material.
– When cleaning the fluff filter, make sure that no foreign material (down or filling
material) gets into the air duct opening. If necessary, clean the drum
beforehand with a vacuu m cleaner. If foreign mate rial should still get into the
air duct a call the after- sales service a Risk of fire/explosion.
– Switch off the d ryer once the programme has ended.
– The water from condensation is not drink ing water and may be co ntaminated
with fluff.
Defect
– Do not use the dryer if it is defective or if you suspect that it is.
Repairs must only be carrie d out by the after-sales service.
– Do not use the dryer if the mains cable is defective. To avoid danger, only have
the defective mains cable replaced by the after-s ales service.
– Always pull t he mains plug out of the sock et before changing the bulb for the
interior light a Ri sk of electric shock.
Spare parts
– Only use genu ine spare parts and acc essories for safety reasons.
Disposal
– Pull out the app liance plug, then cut off the mains cable from the appliance.
Dispose of at a municipa l waste disposal facility.
– Heat exchang ers contain a fluorinated greenhouse gas covered by the Kyoto
protocol (R134a) a disp ose of in a proper manne r. Capacity: 0.22 kg.
– Packaging: Keep all packaging out of reach of babies and childre n
