Cutting with the Cutting Adapter (Accessory)
(see figures C1–C2)
The cutting adapter 13 enables you, as an example, to cut flooring
alongside a wall.
After cutting, the flooring will have the optimal clearance of
3–5 mm to the wall (expansion joint).
– Firstly, cut the flooring 5–8 cm above the desired edge.
– To fasten the cutting adapter 13 to the machine, insert the
guide edge 5 to the stop into the opening of the cutting adapt-
er.
– Position the cutting adapter flush between wall and
floor.
The imprinted arrow must face towards the floor
(“Floor”).
– Switch the machine on and guide the cutting adapter slowly
alongside the wall.
Note: Take care that the cutting adapter is always guided flush to
the wall and the floor, and that the flooring is always positioned
firmly against the cutting adapter. Otherwise, precise cutting to
length is not possible.

Maintenance and Cleaning
f Warning! Prior to any maintenance and cleaning, switch the
machine off and secure the lock-off button 2.
f For safe and proper working, always keep the machine clean.
While cutting, material residue can accumulate under the blade
guard.
– Clean the blade guard 3 regularly using a brush or lightly mois-
tened cloth.
If the machine should fail despite the care taken in manufacturing
and testing procedures, repair should be carried out by an after-
sales service centre for Bosch power tools.
In all correspondence and spare parts order, please always in-
clude the 10-digit article number given on the type plate of the ma-
chine.
Transport
Dispatch batteries only when the housing is undamaged. Tape or
mask off open contacts and pack up the battery in such a manner
that it cannot move around in the packaging.
When dispatching lithium-ion batteries, compulsory labeling may
be required. Please observe the respective national regulations.
