and apply a coat of grease after drying off.
Insufficient power may cause difficulties starting the
engine, sounding the horn, and activating the turn
signal. If this occurs, immediately recharge the battery
for 15-20 hours. Note that the long term storage of a
low battery may damage it.
When a battery has white plate electrodes, low power
or a fluid level below the lower limit which cannot be
raised after recharging, the batteries life has ended.
Immediate post-storage Maintenance
1. Clean the entire motorcycle.
2. Remove the spark plug. Kick the kick start lever to
allow the engine to rotate for several turns before
reinstalling the spark plug.
3. Reinstall the battery.
4. Adjust the tyre pressure according to the
recommendations in this manual.
5. Lubricate all parts that require lubrication as
recommended in this manual
6. Follow the instructions in this manual that relate
to checking before driving.
Note
Ensure that the positive connector is connected
before the negative one.
