Setting the time
Pull the crown out to position 2. Then
turn the crown upwards (
) to move
the hands forwards to the desired
time. Then push the crown back to
position 1. After this operation, rotate
the crown downwards (
) to make
sure it turns freely.
Important note
This watch is guaranteed water-
resistant to 30 m (15m for models set
with baguettes), provided the crown is
in position 1.
Time in the Breguet style
The CLASSIQUE watch is directly
inspired by the work of A.-L.
Breguet. It embodies the principles
with which he revolutionized watch
design: purity of form, harmony of
proportion and clarity of informa-
tion, reflecting the ordered beauty
of the movement within. Its fea-
tures are the hallmarks of the
Breguet style, from its finely fluted
caseband to its hand-engraved
“guilloché” dial. With its strong per-
sonality, your CLASSIQUE represents
the ideal face of time.
The historic tourbillon regulator,
patented in 1801, was conceived to
compensate for errors in rate caused
by the constant changes in a watch’s
position. It consists of mounting the
escapement and sprung balance in
a mobile carriage which rotates on
itself with utter regularity. Errors
are thus reproduced regularly and
cancel each other out, rather than
accumulating. Two centuries later
it remains a technical tour de
force”.
Double Tourbillon
Working independently one from the
other, the two Tourbillons are cou-
pled by means of differential gears
and mounted on a rotating center
plate effecting a complete revolu-
tion in twelve hours.
