This document describes the Breville high gloss deep fill sandwich toaster with DuraCeramic™ coated plates, designed to "Turn on your creativity®" for home-cooked snacks.
The Breville sandwich toaster is an appliance designed for making toasted sandwiches. It features deep cooking plates to accommodate generous fillings and a cut-and-seal action to create perfectly sealed toasties. The appliance heats up to cook sandwiches, indicated by a ready-to-cook light. It is intended for household use only and should not be used outdoors or for purposes other than its intended function.
The cooking plates are coated with an exclusive DuraCeramic™ coating. This ceramic coating is designed for quicker and more efficient heat transfer, resulting in faster cooking times compared to standard non-stick coatings. It is also scratch-resistant and four times more durable than standard non-stick coatings. The DuraCeramic™ coating is PTFE and PFOA free, ensuring durability and ease of cleaning. The appliance is fitted with either a moulded or rewirable BS1363, 13 amp plug, and the fuse should be rated at 13 amps and be ASTA approved to BS1362. The mains lead wires are coloured GREEN/YELLOW (Earth), BLUE (Neutral), and BROWN (Live) for proper connection.
The sandwich toaster includes a latch to firmly close the lid during cooking, a handle for opening and closing, a green power light to indicate the appliance is on and heating, and an amber ready-to-cook light that illuminates when the toaster is fully heated and ready for use. It also has top and bottom cooking plate release buttons for easy removal of the plates.
Before first use, it is recommended to unpack the toaster, thoroughly wash the cooking plates to remove manufacturing residues, and clean the exterior with a damp cloth. A slight burning smell and smoke may be noticed during the first use, which is normal.
To use the sandwich toaster:
Recipe ideas provided include classic combinations like Cheese and Ham, Cheese and Tomato, Cheese and Onion, as well as Lighter Lunch Toastie, Pizza Pockets, Steak Pasties, Omelette, Cake Bites, and Chocolate, Hazelnut and Brie. For best results, medium white sliced bread is recommended, and classic melting cheeses like Cheddar, Gruyère, and Emmental are suggested.
For care and cleaning:
The appliance is designed with no user-serviceable parts. In case of malfunction, troubleshooting steps include checking instructions, fuse, and mains supply. If issues persist, the appliance should be returned to the place of purchase or the Customer Service Department for replacement, ensuring it is clean, packed in its original carton, and accompanied by purchase proof and reason for return.
