4-1. Installing the needle
CAUTION
Turn off the power switch before installing the needle, otherwise the machine may operate if the treadle is depressed
by mistake, which could result in injury.
Use a Schmetz Nm 134 needle.
1. Loosen the set screw (1).
2. Insert the needle as far as it will go so that the groove is
facing toward you.
3. Securely tighten the set screw (1).
