2. STRUCTURE OF THE CONTROL SYSTEM
2.1 Basic Structure
2.1.1 Electrical System and Functions
Most of the main electrical parts of this printer are controlled by the MCTL (engine
controller) PCB.
<Structure of the Sequence Control>
The basic structure of the sequence control is shown in Fig.4-28.
Print Process Control: To control the print process from the paper feed
through to the paper exit.
Laser Output Control: To automatically control the laser output.
Fuser Temperature Control: To control the fixer heater so that the
temperature of the fuser roller and back-up
roller will be correct.
Toner Sensing Control: To control the sensing of the toner empty
status.
Interface Control:
(Video Signal)
To process the input and output signals to and
from the external controller (host).
Control Panel Indicator: To display the printer operational status on the
control panel indicator.
Error Control: To control the safety stop procedures when
errors occur in the printer.
