Configuration with an access point that supports

Note
• If you are going to connect the printer to your network, we recommend that you contact your system
administrator prior to installation.
• Before installation, if you are using Personal Firewall software (e.g. the Internet Connection Firewall
available in Windows
®
XP , Windows Vista™ and Windows Server
®
2003), disable it. Once you are sure
that you can print, restart your Personal Firewall software.
• A wireless network connection is supported only between the Brother printer and an access point for
computer’s running Windows
®
XP Professional x64 Edition.
a Make sure that the front cover is closed and the power cord is plugged in.
b Turn on your printer and wait until the printer is in the Ready state.
c Turn on your computer. (You must be logged on with Administrator rights.)
Close any applications running before configuration.
d Put the supplied CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive. The opening screen will appear automatically.
Select your printer and the language.
e Click Install Printer Driver.
Note
Choose the Install Printer Driver icon for your region.
