Brother HL-L2300d refill instructions 
Before use, familiarise yourself with the safety information on pages 6 and 7. 
Consider doing the refill on top of sheets of old newspaper in case of accidental spills. 
Compatibility of the toner 
HL-L2300d, HL-L2340dw, HL-L2360dn, HL-L2365dw 
DCP-L2500d, DCP-L2520dw, DCP-L2540dn, DCP-L2560dw 
MFC-L2700dw, MFC-L2720dw, MFC-L2740dw 
OK  for  Brother  original  cartridge  codes  TN-2310  (1.2K  yield),  TN-2320  (2.6K  yield)  and  the  starter  cartridge 
that arrives with the new machine. 
The starter cartridge and bought cartridges are the same for the purpose of refilling. 
Whichever type of cartridge you refill, it comes out as high capacity after using this product. 
Ignore “Toner low” messages and associated lights 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Completely ignore the “Toner low” messages of any kind.  
For models that have a toner light, it will flash: ignore that too 
Do reset when you get “Replace toner” pop-up or LCD panel message 
If your machine has an LCD  display  (which  is  most of 
them), it will say “Replace toner”. 
For  models  that  have  a  toner  light,  it  will  now  be  on 
steady (i.e. not flashing). 
For  all  models:  at  this  point  the  printer  refuses  to 
print, which is a bit of a give away sign. 
Now  is  the  time  to  reset,  with  a  view  to  carry  on 
printing until you get fade out. 
Under no circumstances respond to this situation 
by putting more toner in, just reset 
We detail the reset procedures for the different models 
in the following 2 pages …. 
After resetting, carry on printing until you get fade out 
similar  to  the  image  at  the  bottom  of  page  3.  Then, 
and only then, pour in the bottle of toner as described 
on page 4.
