Receive modes 5
By default, your machine will automatically receive any faxes that are sent to it. There are four
receive modes of this machine as below. (For more detailed information about the receive modes,
see Using receive modes uu page 28.)
To set the receive mode setting, follow the instructions below:
a Press Menu, 2, 1, 1.
b Press a or b to choose the receive mode which you want to select.
Press OK.
Note
If you choose Fax Auto or Fax/Tel, the machine will prompt you to set the Ring Delay
setting. Choose the number of rings you want by pressing a or b and then press OK. (See Ring
Delay uu page 29.)
c Press Stop/Exit.
The LCD will display the current receive mode.
To set the receive mode setting to Fax Auto or Manual directly, follow the instructions below;
a Make sure you are in FAX mode .
b Press Fax Auto/Manual.
c Press a, b or Fax Auto/Manual to choose Fax Auto or Manual.
d The setting you chose will be set after two seconds or by pressing OK.
The LCD will display the current receive mode.

Fax detection: On
Fax/Tel Ring Delay: 4 times
F/T Ring Time: 20 seconds
