A few words about this manual
This manual has been developed to provide personnel with
information required to operate the Brown & Sharpe CMM in a
safe and efficient manner. All personnel associated with the
machine’s operation, including but not limited to Maintenance
and Machine Operators, should read this document in its entirety
and understand its contents.
Although the information contained in this document is accurate
as of the date of publication we reserve the right to make
changes to and update the document without notice whenever
necessary to reflect improvements in the performance and
quality of the product. If at any time your personnel believe that
there are discrepancies in the information contained in this
document particularly when related to safety issues, it is recom-
mended that you contact Brown & Sharpe for assistance before
proceeding. Any unauthorized modifications to the machine will
immediately void the warranty and may result in system damage
or personal injury. Since minor changes may be periodically
made by Brown & Sharpe to improve machine performance,
some information relative to your particular system may differ
from the description in the manual. In such cases, supplementary
