Installation
Installation is reverse order of removal with spe-
cial attention to the following steps:
Install gaskets and intake manifold.
IMPORTANT: Port and starboard intake mani-
fold gaskets are shaped differently.
Tighten manifold screws 220 in. lbs. (25 N·m).
Install rectifier/regulator and fuel filter.
Install carburetor. Refer to CARBURETOR SER-
VICE on p. 109.
Install recoil starter or flywheel cover.

WARNING
After servicing the fuel system, check for
leaks. Failure to check for fuel leakage
could allow a leak to go undetected,
resulting in fire or explosion.
