3. The Filter Set Type 1613
The Octave Filter Set is a compact, portable unit containing 11 band-pass
filters for octave analysis . It is primarily designed for use in conjunction
with the Precision Sound Level Meter Type 2203, the combination being
a portable noise and vibration analyzer. Only four screws are used for
joining the units together and the electrical connection is provided by a
connection bar as shown in Fig. 3.1.

The Filter Set may also be used in connection with other instruments, such
as the B & K microphone amplifiers:-
With Microphone Amplifier Type 2603.
For connection use two low capacity cables, AO 0034 to the filter input and
AO 0035 from the filter output. The latter contains a built-in shunt resistor
which loads the filters correctly.
