The most important knobs on the Sound Level Meter are marked 1, 2 and 3
in Fig. 4.1.

KNOB 1.
This is a function selector as well as the power switch. When the knob is
pulled out the power is on. This is indicated by a flashing pilot lamp, which
should remind the operator to switch off when the instrument is not in use.
