Inherent Noise Levels.
The lower limit of measurement is governed by the inherent noise level of the
Sound Level Meter itself. This depends on which weighting network or filter
is
inserted.
Fig. o.ll gives the inherent noise levels for the Sound Level Meter both with
1" and 1/2'' microphones. The noise was measured in octave and 1/3 octave
bands.
