USE WITH OTHER INSTRUMENTS
A
variety
of different equipment can be connected to the
AC
or
DC OUTPUT
of
the
Sound Level Meter,
for
example a level
or
a tape recorder, earphones, etc. A Filter Set
can also be attached to the Sound Level Meter
for
frequency analysis. Use with 8 & K
Level Recorder Type 2317, Tape Recorder Type 7005/06 and Filter Sets Types 1624 and
1625 is described in the
following sections.

Two signal outputs (AC and DC) are available
for
level recording.
In
AC recording the
signal is rectified in the Level Recorder, while in DC recording it is rectified in the Sound
Level
Meter. Generally
AC
recording is more convenient, but to obtain the same
accura-
cy
as with
DC
recording the level recorder must be equipped with a high quality rectifier.
When using the 8
& K Level Recorder Type 2317 either type
of
