Example: With a FSD "80" selected on the Sound Level Meter, and a COARSE SENSI-
TIVITY "1 00 mV" selected on the Level Recorder, the recording span will be 10 to 60 dB.
If an AC DYN. RANGE of "1 0" or "25 dB" is selected, the scale top remains the same,
and position C must be 6 dB under scale top accordingly to the AC DYN. RANGE select-
ed .
4.2. USE WITH TAPE RECORDER TYPE 7005/06
In this section only the specific settings tor recording with the 2230 are given. For
further explanation and characteristics of the recording, please consult the 7005/06
Instruction Manual.
Check calibration of the 2230 (see section 3.4) and carry out the preliminary checks on
the Tape Recorder as described in the 7005/06 Instruction Manual.

4.2.1. Recording with Direct or FM Units

Calibrate the Sound Level Meter (see section 3.4), and the Tape Recorder (see
7005/06 Instruction Manual). Connect the AC OUT socket of the Sound Level Meter
to the INPUT socket of the Recorder Unit chosen for recording using cable AO
0173.
