5.3 Warnings and Error messages
If you get an error message while using or calibrating your
2237 Controller, then refer to the chart below.

Message Occurs Solution
If you press , ,

while the instrument is
in the middle of a
measurement.
Wait for measure-
ment to finish or
press to stop
measurement and
then make your set-
tings.
During calibration, if
foreign sounds have
corrupted the
calibration signal or if
the calibrator is not
switched on.
Make sure you
have turned on and
connected the cali-
brator correctly

check the calibra-
tor’s batteries, and/
or move to a quieter
location. If the error
persists, then con-
tact your
Brüel& Kjær dealer.
During calibration, if
the instrument has dis-
covered that the
required calibration
factor is more than
± 1.5 dB from the fac-
tory calibration.
Check the condi-
tions listed above.
Make sure you
have selected the
correct calibration
level on your calibra-
tor and sound level
meter
