4.3.2 Transferring Results with Third Party Software
In some situations (e.g., if you are using a Macintosh™ or DOS-
only machine), you may want to use communications software
other than that included with your instrument. If so, follow
the instructions below.
1. Connect Type 2239 A to your computer as described in
section 4.3.1.
2. Start your communications software.
3. Set your software’s communication parameters as follows:
● 9600 Baud
● 8 data bits
● 1 stop bit
● Parity: none
● Handshake: XON/XOFF
4. Your communications software will probably ask you for
a name and location to which to save the data. Make the
appropriate selections. All records will be saved in a single
spreadsheet format file (tab separated) with the name and
location you choose.
