7.2 Measurement Range Flowchart
Three measurement ranges exist. It is important to select a
measurement range that is appropriate to your measuring en-
vironment; the instrument must be sensitive enough to meas-
ure the quietest relevant sounds, yet should never be
overloaded. You are only able to change the measurement
range while the instrument is not measuring. To set the meas-
urement range, press to step through the available options
as detailed in the flowchart below (the measurement range is
shown at the top of each screen). See section 3.4.1 for more
information.
