Integrating-averaging Sound Level Meter Type 2240 – Instruction Manual20
4.10 Detectors
Display-update rates: 1 second for all measured quantities.
4.10.1 Exponential Averaging
Display-update rates: 1 second for all measured quantities.
Exponential averaging times: Fast (250 ms).
Note: The maximum response to test tone burst referred to response to continuous signal is calculated
from the formula in standard IEC 60651, Appendix C.
4.10.2 Linear Averaging
Linear averaging times: 1 second to 60 minutes, in steps of 1 second
Settling time according to IEC 60804: 0 seconds
Nominal delay time between operation of the reset facility and re-initiation of a measurement accord-
ing to IEC 61672 – 1: 0 seconds
Time interval after completion of a measurement before a reading is displayed according to
IEC 61672 – 1: <1 s
Minimum hold time according to IEC 60805: Results are held until a new measurement is initiated.
4.10.3 Peak
Peak onset time according to IEC 60651: < 100 μs
