4.11 Influence from the Operating Environment
The temperature and humidity specifications are given, provided that no condensation inside the instru-
mentation results from the combination.
Excessive condensation may cause permanent damage to the instrumentation.
4.11.1 Environmental Stabilisation Time
Stabilisation time can be two hours or more but typically is much shorter.
When the instruments are moved from a warm environment with high humidity, to a colder environment,
care should be taken not to produce condensation inside the instruments. In this case, much longer
stabilisation periods may be necessary.
4.11.2 Temperature
Operating temperature range: –10 to +50ºC (+14 to +122ºF)
Storage temperature range: 25 to +85ºC (–13 to +185ºF)
4.11.3 Humidity
Operating humidity range: 10% < RH < 90%, provided no condensation
4.11.4 Vibration
Vibration sensitivity (<1000 Hz) typically 63.5 dB for 1 ms
–2
, max 65.0 dB for 1 ms
–2
4.11.5 Magnetic Fields
Maximum sensitivity to power line (50/60 Hz) magnetic field strength of 80 A/m; negligible, below
noise floor.
4.11.6 Immunity to Power and Radio-frequency Fields
Conforms to IEC 60651, IEC 60804 and IEC 61672-1 down to 74 dB.
4.12 Electrical Input to Type 2240
Safety Limit: ±24 V
Peak
4.13 Electrical Output from Type 2240
Note: For test only
AC output (FLAT)
Output voltage: 1 Vrms ± 5% (at full-scale, at no load)
Output impedance: Approx. 560 Ω
Load impedance: 10 kΩ or more
