Some of these directories are for storing measurement data,
others for storing measurement set-ups while others are for
storing installed application software. For more details, see
section 4.2.
Handling Data
Measurement data can be stored in files for later recall, print-
ing or transfer to computer for further post-processing.
Set-up data can also be stored for later use or transferred for
use in another Modular Precision Sound Analyzer Type2260.
1.6 How to Use this Manual
Beginners
Before you read this manual, read Brüel&Kjær’s Measuring
Sound primer supplied with the Modular Precision Sound An-
alyzer Type2260. This will give you a basic idea of acoustic
measurements.
Now read the following.
Experienced Users of Acoustic Measurement Equipment
This user manual is the basic manual for the Modular Precision
Sound Analyzer Type2260. All application software manuals
assume that you are familiar with operating the analyzer. The
operating principles are given in section 2.4.
The manual is built up such that you don’t have to read all of
it to be able to use the analyzer.
The application software’s user manual instructs you on how
to set up the Modular Precision Sound Analyzer Type2260 for
measurements, how to measure and how to look at your re-
sults. In short, anything which is dependent on which appli-
cation is currently being used. Anything which is independent
of which application software is being used will be found in
this manual.
