● <> and <> are always soft keys 3 and 4, respectively
If there are more than 5 soft key functions to a menu (shown
by an arrow at the top and/or bottom of the soft key menu),
you can go to the next page of soft key functions by pressing
the and hard keys.
Only relevant soft key functions are shown in the menu. There-
fore, for example, <Save> and <Undo> appear only after you
have changed the set-up and before you have saved or undone
the change.
In some menus, the
soft key area can be reduced via the
hard key. This shows more of the display and can be useful
when looking at results or managing files.
The Menu Area
This area shows the current menu (see Fig.2.4).
2.4 Operating Principles
Modular Precision Sound Analyzer Type2260 is based on some
simple operating principles. Once you are familiar with these,
the analyzer’s help should be sufficient for day-to-day use.
Modes and the Menu Structure
The analyzer operates in one of four modes each initiated by
its own hard key:
● System: for application-software independent opera-
tions such as managing files and selecting application soft-
ware, etc.
● Set-up: for setting up measurements. This mode is
application software dependent
● Calibrate: for calibrating. This mode is application
–software dependent
